What do you need to change?
If you look through this site you will find a lot of articles and also the best muscle building program out there. But what are you going to do with this information? Most of you will read through it and then forget it about. Some of you will apply 1 or 2 of the tips. But imagine if you applied every single hardgainer muscle building tip and idea that you already know. Do you have any idea how great your gains would be?
So why do most people only read and not apply? I have found the simple reason is that they believe what they are reading doesn’t apply to them. You may read an article on how a good training partner is important and think, “Finding a training partner sounds like a hassle. Besides, I’m sure I’ll be fine without one.” Or you may read another hardgainer muscle building tip and think, “I have terrible genetics, that will never work for me.”
This is the attitude of someone who isn’t very serious about their goals. If you really wanted to gain 20 pounds or bench 400 pounds wouldn’t you do everything necessary to make it happen? If I held a gun to your head and said, “You must achieve your goals or I’ll pull the trigger,” don’t you think you would change some things?
What would you change?
Could you have eaten better meals more often?
Could you have gotten more rest everyday?
Could you have tried harder in your last training session?
Could you be following a better-designed training and nutrition plan?
There aren’t many people who can honestly answer “No” to even one of these questions.
Think about that the next time you are searching for the “magic supplement” or complaining about your lack of gains. These things are just a waste of time. You probably already know the secret to how to pack on slabs of muscle (hint: it’s in the above four questions).
